Is Coast Roast coffee certified organic?

Yes. Every Coast Roast coffee is USDA Certified Organic, fair trade, and 100% Arabica, and has been since 1991. Our green beans are certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA).

Where is Coast Roast Coffee located?

Coast Roast was founded in 1991 in Tomales, a small town on the Northern California coast, and roasts in small batches for the San Francisco Bay Area and customers nationwide.

What blends do you offer?

Five signature blends — Tomales Blend, French Roast, Espresso, Mocha Java, and Decaf — plus a four-blend Sample Pack. All are 100% Arabica and certified organic.

Do you ship to my door?

Yes — we ship fresh-roasted whole-bean coffee nationwide, and you can subscribe to have your favorite blend arrive automatically. Shipping rates are confirmed at checkout.

Whole bean or ground?

We roast and ship whole bean for maximum freshness. If you need it ground, tell us your brew method — grind availability is confirmed with the roaster.

What size are the bags?

Our coffee comes in 11 oz bags. Other sizes can be confirmed with the roaster.

Can I set up a subscription?

Yes. Choose any blend and a delivery cadence — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — and change, skip, or cancel anytime.

Where do your beans come from?

We source organic single-origin beans from Peru, Guatemala, Sumatra, Ethiopia, and Indonesia, blended and roasted in small batches.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes — Coast Roast has supplied Bay Area cafés, restaurants, and specialty markets for decades. Visit our Wholesale page to inquire.

What does "fair trade" and "shade-grown" mean here?

Fair trade means growers are paid fairly for their coffee; shade-grown means the coffee is cultivated under tree canopy, which is better for birds and soil. Both are part of our sourcing standard.
